Welcome to the University of Chicago Environmental Center! The University of Environmental Center (UCEC) is the home of the campus environmental groups and a resource for students who are interested in environmental issues. We have a large selection of books on various environmental topics, information about graduate school programs, internships and jobs, as well as magazines, videos, and a wealth of information about different environmental subjects. Clubs that Use the UCEC Environmental Concerns Organization The Library Books in the library include fiction, textbooks, pamphlets, reference materials and more. You can find books on a large number of environmentally related topics. A list of books can be seen here. Environmental Organizations and Issues Also found in the UCEC are file cabinets with information on local, national and international environmental organizations and issues. You will find newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and articles on issues such as renewable energy, organic farming and water pollution, and much more. Environmental Jobs, Internships and Graduate Schools We have a great deal of material on graduate schools as well as internships and jobs. Periodically visitors from groups like the Student Conservation Association and Greencorps, and from schools like the Yale School of Forestry and Columbia University, come to present to students the opportunities they are offering.
